Tokay Geckos For Sale

The current local market price for a Tokay gecko above 300 grams is at least RM25,000. What price it fetches abroad is anybody's guess.

A kampung folk who has a marketable sized Tokay gecko for sale will not have to wait long for serious buyers to make him an offer.

In light of its high market value, catching and trading in Tokay geckos have become a lucrative side business especially for villagers in the northern West Malaysian states and in East Malaysia.

Residents in northern towns of Peninsular Malaysia such as Pendang in Kedah and Balik Pulau in Penang have seen the gecko business grow into a cottage industry after news reports revealed that overseas buyers are willing to pay up to RM1 million for each reptile.

As the supply is getting scarce in Malaysia, agents have started to head towards Thailand to source for fresh supplies. Just drive into border towns such as Bukit Kayu Hitam in Kedah and you can easily sport wildlife trappers and agents advertising the Tokay gecko for sale.

While numerous gecko species are sold as pets at nominal prices, the highly prized specie in demand for its medicinal value is the Tokay gecko.

Tokay geckos are in high demand by the traditional medicine industry abroad as it is believed that the reptile’s tongue can cure AIDS. Some believe that its meat is also an aphrodisiac while its blood and bile suppresses tumors in cancer patients.

Despite the on going rumours of the medicinal cures of the gecko, Augustine Tuuga, the deputy director of Sabah Wildlife Department, was quoted in one news report saying that there is currently no scientific evidence to verify the claims.

Villagers who are involved in this business say that although the Tokay gecko is difficult to find and capture, those who manage to find this illusive reptile can expect to sell it at a lucrative price while the current gecko market is still sizzling.

As buyers are only interested in Tokay geckos weighing 300 grams and above, those possessing smaller Tokay geckos would rear the reptiles hoping to sell them once their weight exceeds 300 grams. Although Tokay geckos usually feed on insects such as crickets, cockroaches and grasshoppers, the Tokay geckos in captivity are also fed chicken liver to speed up its growth process.

The Tokay gecko (also known as the Gekko gecko) is a nocturnal arboreal gecko whose native habitat is the rain-forest trees and cliffs. The Tokay gecko is commonly found in northeast India and Bangladesh, throughout Southeast Asia and western New Guinea.

According to a news report, Rahim Ahmad, the director of the Department of Wildlife and National Parks of Peninsular Malaysia (Perhilitan) in Kedah, said that the Tokay gecko is not classified as a protected species of animals and it is thus not an offence to capture and rear the reptile.

The typical current prices for Tokay geckos are as follows:

300 grams - 399 grams = RM25,000 - RM35,000
400 grams - 499 grams = RM80,000 - RM120,000
500 grams - 599 grams = RM200,000 - RM400,000
600 grams - 799 grams = RM500,000 - RM700,000
800 grams - 999 grams = RM800,000 - RM980,000
Above 1000 grams approximately RM1 million.

At the moment there is no indication whether the Tokay gecko business will continue to grow as an industry or will fizzle out just as the Flowerhorn ornamental fish business did a few years ago. For those who remember, during the peak of the Flowerhorn craze, mature cichlids were sold for up to hundreds of thousands of Ringgit.

Despite the current demand for the Tokay gecko, the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry has thus far not taken any steps to assist people to formally commercialise the business.

Anyway, if anyone of you have a Tokay gecko for sale, just shoot me an email. I have genuine buyers waiting impatiently to purchase mature Tokay geckos

WHO SUNK THE TITANIC?

by Doug Yurchey

The above title does not read: What sunk the Titanic? It says: Who? The information below appeared inside my Outlook Express e-mailbox. The following is stunning and inspired me to write. When we think of great mysteries, controversies, conspiracies or historical questions...many come to mind:

* Who really murdered JFK?
* Who was really behind 9-11?
* Did a greater conspiracy surround the Oklahoma Bombing?
* Was Marilyn Monroe killed?
* Did aliens crash at Roswell?

Another historical mystery or puzzle is: What was the real story behind the sinking of the Titanic? The book 'The Secret Terrorists' printed by Truth Triumphant Ministries and reprinted by Tree of Life Resources places blame squarely on the Roman Catholic Order known as the Jesuits. 'The greatest tragedies in the last 200 years can be traced to the Jesuits.'
Founded in 1540, the Society of Jesus grew rapidly within the Catholic Church. They were confessors to the ruling families of Europe. They defend the Pope and Catholicism around the world in nearly every country. In 1773, Clement XIV suppressed the Jesuits. In 1814, Pope Pius VII responded to pressure and restored the Society. There are Jesuit colleges and ministries today. They are a very influential organization. Jesuits are dedicated to furthering Catholicism and the power of the Pope. Yet...there is a secret, negative side to this organization called 'the Society of Jesus.' For hundreds of years they carried out religious killings. They were the men in dark cloaks who carried daggers. (Were they the religious CIA for their time?)
In 1910, seven men met on Jekyll Island just off the coast of Georgia to plan the Federal Reserve Bank. Nelson Aldrich and Frank Valderclip represented the Rockefeller financial empire. Henry Davidson, Charles Norton and Benjamin Strong represented J.P. Morgan. Paul Warberg represented the Rothschilds Banking dynasty of Europe. The Rothschilds were the banking agents for the Jesuits and hold 'the key to the wealth of the Roman Catholic Church.'
The Morgan gang, the Rothschilds gang and the Rockefeller gang were fierce competitors yet entered joint ventures. They established the national banking cartel called the Federal Reserve System....according to G. Edward Griffin in 'The Creature From Jekyll Island (American Opinion Publishing P. 209). A review of this book stated: 'It tells a story of how bankers have lured politicians with easy money and end up in control of most of the world.'
[This writer travelled to Jekyll Island in 1970 with his college tennis team. I had such a beautiful moment there one night: I was alone and drawn to a lighthouse. There stood deer in the darkness drinking from a pond. In the moonlight, it was a sight I'd never forget. Little did I realize that this wonderful, winter-resort for the rich had an evil history. Jekyll Island was properly named].
The Rothschilds, Morgans and Rockefellers are controlled by the Jesuit Order. The most powerful of families 'do whatever is necessary to destroy constitutional liberty in America and bring the Pope to world domination.' Construction of the Titanic began in 1909; at a shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. Belfast was Protestant and hated by the Jesuits. Morgan took control of the White Star Lines. The Jesuits ordered J.P. Morgan to build the Titanic. From the very beginning of the luxury liner, the Titanic was destined for doom.
There were a number of powerful men who were NOT in favor of the Federal Reserve System. Benjamin Guggenheim, Isa Strauss and John Jacob Astor opposed the formation of a F.R.S. These men were arguably the richest men in the world and stood in the way of the Jesuits' plan. 'These three men were coaxed and encouraged to board the floating palace.' Not only were these enemies of the Jesuits against a Federal Reserve Bank, but they would have used their wealth and influence to oppose World War I.
This was the 'maiden' voyage of the greatest ship ever built. The 'unsinkable' campaign assured passengers of comfortable safety. Many Irish, French and Italian Catholics were on board. Protestants from Belfast were also encouraged to immigrate to the United States on the Titanic. These were 'expendable' people; for the most part. But, the real reason for the ship's destruction was a game between the super rich whereby Guggenheim-Strauss-Astor could be eliminated. 'They had to be destroyed by a means so preposterous that no one would suspect they were murdered, and no one would suspect the Jesuits.'
The Captain of the Titanic was Edward Smith. He was a Jesuit and worked for J.P. Morgan. Anyone could be a Jesuit and their identity not be known. >From National Geographic 'The Secrets of the Titanic,' (1986):
When the ship departed southern England, on board was Francis Browne. He was the most powerful Jesuit in all of Ireland and the 'Jesuit Master of Edward Smith.' 'Here is Jesuit treachery at its finest. The provincial Father Francis Browne boards the Titanic, photographs the victims, most assuredly briefs the Captain concerning his oath as a Jesuit, and the following morning bids him farewell...' Eric J. Phelps, Vatican Assassins Halcon Unified Services. P. 247.
Captain Smith believed this high-ranking 'Jesuit General' was God. Browne instructed him on what to do in the North Atlantic waters. 'Edward Smith was given orders to sink the Titanic and that's exactly what he did.' According to Jesuit secret philosophy: The innocent can be massacred for the greater good; the ends justifies the means.
Captain Smith had been traveling the North Atlantic for 26 years. He was the 'world's most experienced master' in these cold waters. The Captain knew all along that his ship was built for the enemies of the Jesuits. Its purpose was always to be a 'deathship' and sink on its first voyage. Captain Smith also knew exactly where the icebergs were. Under secret orders, he propelled the Titanic full speed at 22 knots on a moonless night and through a huge ice field 80 square miles in area! He had been 'given orders from his God in the Vatican, and nothing would turn him from his course.'
Captain Smith's actions in his last hours were not those of a strong leader. He seemed as if he was wrestling with his conscience. Should he be the brave sea captain or obey his master and sink the ship?
There were purposely not enough lifeboats. Many of the lifeboats only had a few passengers of women and children during the emergency. White distress flares were jettisoned. Passing ships thought those aboard the Titanic were having a party. The distress flares should have been red. These examples were not because of an arrogant crew who believed the Titanic was unsinkable. These shortcomings were planned.
Those richest of men, who opposed the Federal Reserve System, were killed along with the middle and lower classes. John Jacob Astor's wife was rescued. Molly Brown was also saved. The sinking of the Titanic was possibly the greatest disaster of the 20th Century outside of the World Wars. According to 'The Secret Terrorists,' the cause of this tragedy was the Jesuit Order of the Roman Catholic Church.
'The unsinkable ship, the floating palace was created to be a tomb for the wealthy, who opposed the Federal Reserve System. On April 14th (the same date in history as the assassination of Abraham Lincoln) of 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg and all opposition to the Federal Reserve was eliminated. In December of 1913, the Federal Reserve System came into being in the United States. Eight months later, the Jesuits had sufficient funding through the Federal Reserve Bank to begin World War I.' Notice the F.R.S. was established soon after the disaster of the Titanic.
The rich have always created unnecessary wars where the poor have to fight and die. The pages of 'The Secret Terrorists' do not specifically name the Templars, Freemasons or Illuminati. But these Secret Societies are related and do control: The banks; the money system; the oil companies; corporations; governments; the politicians; the military; the police; the law and judicial system; the churches; the schools; the media, etc., etc...
The rich and powerful have always ruled the world. The elite make the news; they create the great, international events. William Randolph Hearst invented the news and printed his propaganda in his paper.
It was the rich that purposely crashed the Stock Market in 1929 and caused the suffering of the Great Depression. The super rich had a highly-profitable, financial day during the Crash. It was the lesser-rich, want-to-be investors who lost everything.
IT IS NOT INCONCEIVABLE THAT WE HAVE HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT THE FAMOUS VOYAGE OF THE TITANIC BECAUSE IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST PERFECT CRIMES EVER COMMITTED!

NEW DELHI, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama wound up his three-day visit to India on Tuesday, during which he met with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and other Indian leaders. The two countries also issues a joint communiqu stressing the strengthening of bilateral relations.
Local analysts think while the purpose of Obama's visit is to tighten U.S.-Indian relations and raise the U.S. influence in Asia, the U.S. president might lose something at the same time.
OBAMA BROUGHT "RICH GIGTS" TO INDIA
Although the Indian government and media have been anticipating Obama's visit for a long time, they kept until the very end of the visit a cautious and conservative attitude toward what this visit could bring about. Before Obama came, local media warned India should not expect too much from this visit, because of the close military collaboration between the U.S. and Pakistan in Afghanistan. However, Obama brought "rich gifts" this time.
During the visit, Obama and Singh held formal talks and issued joint communiqu, saying the two nations will strengthen strategic partnership. Obama also addressed the Indian Parliament, declaring for the first time that Washington backs India's bid to become a permanent member of the United Nations, and asking Pakistan to get rid of "safe havens of terror" on its territory. The U.S. also unilaterally decided to ease restrictions on high-tech exports to India. Besides, the two countries announced 10 billion U.S. dollars of business deals, mostly being India's purchase of U.S. military and civilian aircraft.
Local media said that India has gained a lot from Obama's visit, first of all from his positive endorsement of India's bid for UN Security Council permanent member seat. Meanwhile, India will realize its dream of getting access to sophisticated U.S. technologies in armament and nuclear energy. The U.S. and India will also build a nuclear technology center in northern India's Hariyana state. The U.S. also promised to help India enter the Nuclear Supply Group.
OBAMA'S VISIT ACCOMPANIED BY CRITICISM
While it should be stated that the number of gifts Obama brought to India was many, this has failed to delight all Indians. Although Obama won the joy of some Indians for his speech, criticizing voices can also be heard immediately.
The left-wing Communist Party of India (Marxist), which had boycotted visiting U.S. presidents' address to Parliament in the past, this time reluctantly attended the session. Its political bureau member Sitaram Yechury said although Obama spoke on a range of issues "but there is nothing tangible".
Communist Party of India (CPI) national secretary D. Raja said the U.S president in his address to Indian parliamentarians was " pursuing the known US positions and protecting the interests of his country". CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta was critical of the U.S. for overlooking the state of "suffering and poverty in the world because of the U.S. policies", as basic rights like food and education are essential for international cooperation.
Meanwhile, Indian media believe always economic elements occupied a greater part of the agenda of Obama's India visit, proof being that he told the media in Mumbai that the 10 billion dollar deals would create 50,000 jobs back in the U.S..
During Obama's visit, hundreds of victims and their families in the 1984 Bhopal industrial disaster demonstrated in the capital, demanding compensations for the huge tragedy caused by the U.S. Union Carbide company.
OBAMA VISIT TRIGGERS DISCONTENT OF SOME OTHER COUNTRIES
While wooing India, Obama triggered discontent from Pakistan, which promptly protested against his statement about Pakistan at the Indian Parliament and his endorsement of Indian bid for UN Security Council seat.
Pakistan Foreign Office said Islamabad hopes the U.S. "will take a moral view and not base itself on any temporary expediencies or exigencies of power politics." It also called on Washington not to ignore "continued flagrant violation" of UN Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir by New Delhi.
Analysts also believe that a quickening process of closing rank with the U.S. by India could cause vigilance and discontent from Russia, India's traditional ally and arms supplier.
Russia has huge nuclear and military technological investment in India, which for a long time relies on Moscow for weapons and arms technologies. Although the two countries have scrapped their de facto alliance after the Cold War, Russia still regards South Asia as a region of geographically great importance for itself.
The U.S. and its NATO allies are currently stuck in a lingering war in Afghanistan. Some Indian analysts think the U.S. night " encourage" India to join the Afghan affairs and even invite Indian to send troops there. However, India lacks both capabilities and willingness to send troops to the country which has become a quagmire for the Western troops. Any U.S. attempt in this regard will definitely fail.
Lastly, Obama also played ideological card during the visit. In his address to Indian Parliament, he emphasized the key role " democratic system" plays in promoting U.S.-Indian relations and finger-pointed Myanmar as a "dictatorship".
Analysts think that India and Myanmar are intimate neighbors and it is very important for the two countries to carry out cooperation to maintain regional peace and calmness. The U.S. attempt to use ideology to divide the two historically and geographically attached neighbors could lead to opposite results to its original purpose.
Observers believe that due to the complicated situation in South Asia, Obama might lose something else after winning applauses at the Indian Parliament.

EU Regrets Burma's Flawed Electoral Process as ASEAN Jumps to Embrace it

E-mail Print
10 November 2010: The European Union expressed regrets that Burma's junta failed to ensure a free and fair electoral process saying that the poll on November 7 did not meet minimum international standards on elections.
Speaking on behalf of the Council of the European Union, Catherine Ashton reminded, "Elections in themselves do not make a country democratic." Critics call Burma's elections a sham that only seeks to entrench military rule.

Citing the restrictions on political parties, freedom of expression and limits to media access, the world's most powerful regional bloc called the elections in Burma biased, uninclusive and flawed. At the same time the EU acknowledged the participation of several political parties, including the ethnic parties who see the elections as an opportunity for generating greater political space.

Meanwhile, the Association of Southeast Asean Nations (ASEAN), a 10-member regional grouping whose membership also includes Burma, immediately issued a statement embracing the Sunday elections.

“ASEAN welcomes the General Elections as a significant step forward in the implementation of the 7-point Roadmap for Democracy," says Vietnam ’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem, who holds the rotating ASEAN Chairmanship.

In his address before the joint session of the Indian Parliament on Monday evening, US President accused Burma of stealing the elections.

"It is unacceptable to hold the aspirations of an entire people hostage to the greed and paranoia of a bankrupt regime. It is unacceptable to steal an election, as the regime in Burma has done again for all the world to see," President Obama said.

Burma's military regime and its proxy the Union Solidarity and Development Partry (USDP) stand accused of widespread vote rigging, voter intimidation and electoral fraud during the November 7 national elections.

Barlow Girl Come Alive Lyrics:
Wake up, get out, there's no time to waste now
Never shut up it's our turn to speak out
These streets are dead just waiting to come alive

Break down the doors of our comfortable room
Tear down the walls we never could see through
Aren't we sick of missing out on life

Do we want more?
Tell me do we want more?

'Cause we've heard the cry and we'll come alive
And we fight for love and we live to die

Because a life that holds no meaning
Is like a day without the light
So we'll come alive tonight

All have the call but so few have listened
Life is too short you don't want to miss this
Make up your mind before life passes by

Now is the time to wake up and see this
World won't revolve around you and me
So let's be the change we've all been waiting for

We are the passion
We are the movement
We are the fire
We'll never lose it

Tears Of Gold

- Lal Hauzel
lal_hauzel.jpgWith tremulous breath at the end of her line,
The ceaseless battle, she fought, without a whine.
Incessant in her prayers for all,
Perpetually shedding tears of gold.
Umpteen values she has taught,
Enriching my life of fraught.
In more ways than I can count,
And thankfulness I cannot surmount.
She's the whisper of the leaves.
Her love warmly to my heart it cleaved.
As I walk the paths of the unknown,
She has become my gentle whetstone.
She turned me to the sunshine,
And encouraged me to dream and outshine.
You showed me the way to serve,
To accomplish and never to swerve.
                      You live inside my laughter.
Holding me tight lest I falter.
Gently wipes my eyes when I shed a tear.
                      Courage imbibed nontheless sans fear.
                      She's crystallized in every teardrop.
With a bond that grows nonstop.
A shoulder to cry on, secrets to share,
Warm hearts and hands that really care.
                      Sacrifice, devotion, love and tears,
All these spent on me throughout the years.
With open arms and open heart,
                      You took my life apart,
To let me know you love me.
In many different ways so aptly.
With enduring patience and inner strength,
You taught me life's values at length.
Your heart, your mind, your energy and soul.
You gave and sufferred so much to make me whole.
Intense ardour for prayers that never grows old.
Sparkling eyes where you shed tears of gold.
Too numerous to count, too magnificent to describe.                       All that I am today, Mom, to you I ascribe.                       But most powerful and greatest of all,                       Are your prayers with tears as precious as gold.
